About Our Art…by Deanna Frautschi

New art is in this week and we are really enjoying the view!

Master Naturalist Deanna Frautschi is passionate about connecting others with the diversity and beauty of nature around them.  She shares her knowledge of backyard birds and photography skills to help others enjoy nature in their own back yards.

This photography exhibit includes birds and other inhabitants from Deanna’s own back yard.  She and husband Alan Bedell live on five acres just outside Bloomington’s city limit.  It was part of a corn field with no trees when they started to develop it.  They have reforested and enhanced it for the benefit of nature’s creatures over the last 35 years.  Their habitat is certified by the National Wildlife Federation.

Deanna talks to groups about developing good back yard habitat for birds and supplies photography for local and regional publications.  Photos are from her back yard and from trips to other habitats.  She posts a wildlife photo every day on Facebook and invites you to view these or ask her questions by contacting or friending her at Decardinal@aol.com.

Be sure to stop by and view Deanna’s work!
