About Our Art…By Scott Fullmer

[ 0 ] November 6, 2013 |

Scott Fullmer – (b. 1963) American, Classically inspired imagery, bold brushstrokes and rich, lush surfaces are the trademarks of his earthy and emotional pieces. Tranquil imagery is brought to life by the artist’s painterly and aggressive technique. He is quickly establishing himself as a presence in the resurgence of classical painting, creating dramatic canvases that include landscapes, figure studies and still life’s.
The artist frequently finds inspiration from the area surrounding his home in Central Illinois and through his travels. “I’m always observing the beauty of nature, whether it’s in a landscape or the face of a person, feeling the color, design and rhythms around me. In my paintings I try to convey what affects me emotionally when I first see an image.”
