Credit cards What Happened?

Home Depot recently announced a data breach that exposed credit and debit card information of customers who shopped at their stores between April and August 2014. IAACU has 24 hour fraud monitoring on your debit and credit cards, as well as our own plastic card department that looks out for suspicious transactions on behalf of our members.  Always be on the alert for unusual activity on your debit and credit card. If you see something out of the ordinary contact the credit union immediately.

    Should we be proactive and replace cards that have been used at Home Depot?

      Hi Matthew. Thank you for the question.

      We would not recommend replacing your cards at this point. As always, you should monitor your accounts closely for charges that are not yours and make sure to report any suspicious activity immediately to your card issuer. Since your card issuer assumes liability for fraudulent activity on your card, however, they may re-issue your card if they feel your account is at risk.
