By Ivy Ward and Mitchell Fairley

Ivy and Mitch are located out of Gibson City, IL where they live with their son Finn. Both Ivy and Mitch began creating art at a young age and have found passion in it ever since. After high school, Ivy furthered her education by attending Parkland College and Illinois College, earning her degree in Art & Design. Mitchell attended various craftsman classes, and has self taught various crafts and trades to help further his skill.

Salvaged Creations

It wasn’t until a few years ago that Ivy and Mitch found each other and came across a way to take salvaged things and make them into art. They decided to join their artwork and call themselves Salvaged Creations. Even though it only came to life 3 short years ago, they have attended several juried art shows since and have been featured in numerous galleries and shops around central Illinois.

Everything that Ivy and Mitch create are works of art that have been put together with salvaged materials. They are known for various types of acrylic paintings on pallet wood, rustic welded metal sculptures, and handmade furniture. Each piece is unique and is found to be a great conversational piece no matter its location!

“It is always rewarding taking materials that have been tossed out and left behind and giving them new life for everyone to appreciate again!”
