Help us say so long to our longtime friend Gary Miller!

You heard it right; Gary Miller has decided to jump into the world of retirement starting September 6th 2016.  Gary has been a great friend and colleague since February 2001 when he started with IAACU as a Consumer/Mortgage Loan Officer.  With already having 9+ years in the banking industry, we were so happy to have Gary join our team when he did.

Since July 1st of this year Gary has taken on being a first time business owner!  Gary owns a shop off of GE road called Gary’s Toy Shop where he will spend time repairing and detailing sports cars!  This is a huge passion for Gary and we know that he will enjoy his time being around the things he loves.

Other than owning Gary’s Toy Shop, he will be traveling around Florida exploring new beaches that he has yet to see. Gary is also looking forward to vacationing at the Ozarks during the summer months.  He is a big fan of spontaneity, so we are sure he will be in many more places exploring his passion for seeing the world.

As it gets closer for us to say goodbye to our friend and coworker he would like everyone to know how much he is going to miss the faith and loyalty our members have in him. He will also miss the challenges of being able to help people in tough situations, while still making smart financial decisions for both members and the credit union.  Last but not least, Gary will miss the youthfulness of his coworkers at IAACU.

Along with most retirees, Gary expressed that he will not miss the demands of a full time work schedule, which everyone can understand.

Gary has been a great example of what IAACU stands for and we are so sad to see him go, but so excited to see Gary doing the things that he enjoys most.

Gary wants to leave everyone with his favorite quote:

“Life is not measure by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take your breath away”-Unknown

Great summation of Gary and what he has meant to everyone at IAACU, both our team and members – Also great picture in his Corvette, a new way of ridding off into the sunset, on 500 horses (under the hood) Thanks for all you’ve done over the years Gary, you will be sincerely and sorely missed, good health and many blessings!
